TL;DR mechanics

  • Train to kill by playing 1v1 dm1s
  • Train movement by playing FastCap
    (Unique Race server are good)
  • Combine both skills in CTF
  • If you’re good at killing, go defense

If the community sees you training, you can join our games whenever you want!

Killing Power

  • Invite someone to play 1v1 dm1s vs. you
(tell them to take it easy but not hooks)
  • Learn to relentlessly hook your opponent + shoot
  • Really, spam your hook on your opponent
  • Learn to spam with weapons
  • Shortcut to learning is watching

Movement

  • Play FastCap no weapons (Unique Race servers)
  • There’s a vid for every map
  • Tip: in the server browser on the top right ‘communities’, favourite ‘Unique’ and you get a Unique tab for easier access

FastCap Maps to Learn

Note: prioritise no weapons first

Now with grenades…

Now you’re ready to play CTF!

Now with solid mechanics, let’s learn some knowledge points

TL;DR knowledge points

  • Positions/roles
  • Game format

Positions

Generally speaking, there are defenders and attackers

  • Defenders generally have the strongest hooks in the team
  • Everyone else are generally attackers, strong movement is desired
  • This video is not bad for learning both

Defenders

  • Stay around base or pre, attack occasionally (need some game sense/experience)
  • Should not have high ping
  • One defender for 3v3, two defenders for 4v4
  • ‘Help’ bind is absolute must

Attackers

5 points to remember

  • Give priority to defender: Don’t take weapons in base
  • Get to enemy base: mostly ignore enemy attackers, damage them a bit without slowing down, maybe kill them if you see them with weapon
  • Synergise: if teammate is going into enemy base, also dive in ASAP!

Attackers

  • Support: if teammate has flag, hook them out of enemy base and escort them back to base; if enemy hooked teammate with flag, separate them; be prepared to catch the dropped flag
  • Help: highest priority is if your teammate says ‘help’ in chat, you need to 1) defend against oncoming attackers and 2) attack the enemy attempting to return with flag

Videos to learn from
